Dr Michelle Thong graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (with Honours) from Monash University. She completed her radiology training at Alfred Health, followed by an MRI fellowship at the same hospital, and has remained a Consultant Radiologist there, focusing on neuroradiology and plexus imaging.
She has worked across both private and public radiology, including at Epworth Richmond. Her head and neck interest extends to brachial plexus imaging, collaborating closely with clinicians in multidisciplinary care, and CT parathyroid (4DCT), working with endocrine surgeons to improve pre-operative localisation.
Her broader interests include MRI, including musculoskeletal studies.
