The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) will hold its 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting from 22 to 24 October at the Te Pae Convention Centre in Christchurch, New Zealand.
This year's theme
The meeting runs under the theme Better Together. He waka eke noa., a phrase that translates roughly as "we are all in this together". It reflects the increasingly collaborative nature of modern healthcare, where radiology and radiation oncology work alongside a widening range of specialties.
On the program
The scientific program spans clinical radiology, interventional radiology and neuroradiology, and radiation oncology. Recurring themes across recent meetings include the safe and practical adoption of artificial intelligence in reporting workflows, sustainability in imaging departments, workforce pressures, and translating research into everyday clinical practice.
Why it matters
ASM is the main annual gathering for radiologists across Australia and New Zealand, and much of what is presented, from protocol refinements to new evidence on screening and interventional techniques, filters through to how scans are performed and reported in community practices over the following year.
